About the firm
The firm behind the tidy ledgers
Padu Advisory is a 12-person accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur, built since 2017 around one habit: close the books early and explain them properly.
Our story
Started by two accountants who hated surprises
Faridah Hassan and Chong Li Wen met at a mid-tier audit firm in 2015, reviewing year-end files that landed on desks eight months late. Both kept meeting owners who ran good businesses on guesswork because their accounts arrived too late to matter.
They registered Padu Advisory in 2017 with two laptops and a shared office off Jalan Tebing Emas. The offer was unusual then and is still rare now: fixed monthly fees agreed in writing, accounts closed by the 10th, and reports written in sentences, not codes.
Nine years on, the team is 12 people serving 182 SMEs, from kopitiams to logistics fleets. The rule has never changed: if a number cannot be explained in plain words, it is not finished.

Four rules we run every engagement on
Fixed fees, in writing
The quote you sign is the fee you pay. Extra work is priced separately before it starts, never billed as a surprise line at year end.
Closed by the 10th
Monthly accounts are reconciled and reported by the 10th of the following month. Late books help nobody, so speed is a standing rule, not a favour.
One named accountant
You get one person who knows your file, answers your WhatsApp within a working day, and sits in your quarterly review. No call centre, no re-explaining.
Plain numbers only
Reports say what changed, why it changed and what it costs you, in full sentences. Jargon stays inside the working papers where it belongs.
The people on your file
Twelve of us in total. These are the three you will deal with most.
Faridah Hassan
Co-founder and managing partner
Chartered accountant. Leads client onboarding and the quarterly advisory sit-downs, and still reviews every new fee quote herself.
Chong Li Wen
Co-founder, head of tax
Handles corporate tax, CP204 estimates and the trickier LHDN correspondence. Reads tax gazettes for fun so you never have to.
Amirul Aziz
Payroll and SST lead
Runs payslips, EPF, SOCSO and SST filings for every client. Has not missed a statutory deadline since joining in 2020.
