The Third Desk opened in 2023 for people whose best hours start when the business district empties. This is why we built it, and the rules that keep it working.
Our story
Built by two people who kept working after dinner
Farah managed serviced offices for a decade and kept meeting the same tenant: the founder who asked, slightly embarrassed, whether the aircon could stay on past nine. Adrian was that tenant, running a data consultancy on European hours from a tower that shut down around him every evening.
They opened The Third Desk in 2023 on a single floor above KL Sentral with one promise. The lights, the aircon, the coffee and the front desk keep working as late as you do, and the floor never oversells its seats.
Three years on, the floor holds a deliberate mix of night shift founders, remote workers on foreign time zones, and writers who do their best thinking after the phones stop ringing.
What we hold constant
Capped occupancy
At most eight memberships sold for every ten desks, never more. The point of a desk you pay for is that it is there when you arrive, at 9am or 2am.
Quiet by design
Calls happen in booths, meetings happen in rooms, and the open floor stays at library volume. Staff will politely move a call along when it strays.
Staffed late
A human sits at the front desk until midnight, every day, for deliveries, guests, and the small problems that only ever surface at 11pm.
Plain figures
Every plan is a flat monthly figure with no joining fee and one month of notice. The figure on the plan is the figure on the invoice, nothing added later.

Farah Hashim
Co-founder, head of space
Ten years running serviced offices across KL. Decides everything about chairs, light and noise, and is usually the one locking up at midnight.
Adrian Loh
Co-founder, operations
Ran his own consultancy on European hours for six years. Handles memberships, billing and the booking system, and still keeps desk 41.
